Denzel Glover isn’t a career politician. He’s a father, a veteran, and a proven leader who’s tired of watching excuses replace results.
Raised with a deep commitment to service, Denzel has spent his career doing the work: leading initiatives with the United Way of South Hampton Roads, improving systems at Sentara Healthcare, and earning his Master of Public Administration from Old Dominion University.
But what brought him to this fight is simple: our schools are not where they need to be, and too many people are pretending they are.
As a father with children connected to Portsmouth Public Schools, and someone who has stepped into classrooms as a substitute teacher, Denzel has seen the gaps up close. Not from reports. Not from meetings. From real experience.
Students falling behind. Teachers stretched thin. Decisions being made without real accountability.
Denzel is running because he’s not willing to sit back and accept a system that lowers expectations for our kids while asking families to accept less.
